I finally pulled the trigger last weekend and switched from Wacom to iPad and I have to say I LOVE IT. Adobe Fresco is everything I’ve ever wanted.

Now I will proceed to cover every inch of the house with cute prints. 🎨

In my free time I like to embroider bad words in Spanish. ⚠️Full disclosure: Coño is so common it’s BARELY a bad word in Spanish. You can say it freely as an expression.⚠️

This is an extract of one of my favorite poems, “Caged Bird” by Maya Angelou. I find this poem to be somehow always timely, but it seems to be specially fitting for these times.

May we always sing of freedom, caged or not! 🕊 P.S. It was great to drop my stylus for once and pick up my old brushes! And I can’t wait for studios to open so I can screenprint this baby!

I have joined forces with my ultra talented friend/photographer, Latrece Ragsdale, to explore the different struggles women of color go through when it comes to the big stigma of mental health in our communities.

I had the super cool opportunity to live paint at @familyhoodatl ’s last show of 2019 and oh boi did I have a blast! This baby is now sold and in its new forever home.

This is the piece I created for “Paint Like a Girl”, the 5th annual art show benefiting Wellspring Living, a nonprofit organization devoted to safeguarding and empowering domestic sex trafficking victims. I’m so honored to be part of this misijos!

Last night I did a quick portrait of this magnificent woman, as a simple reminder that the world is full—and has always been full—of amazing badass women.

This summer, I painted a mural in Cabbagetown for the super cool people of @stackssquares. This was my first mural, and even though it was VERY challenging, it was also A LOT of fun, and I can’t wait to do some more. Thanks again to the badass organizers, the loving community of Cabbagetown who welcomed us, all the incredible artists who painted along with me, and my out-of-this-planet-extraordinarily-incredibly-amazing friends who were there with me all weekend. Boy am I lucky. 👹

Last spring the lovely people at Monday Night Brewing let me do my thing on one of their barrels and made my heart a little happier.

Los Diablos Danzantes de Yare is a religious festivity celebrated in San Francisco de Yare, in Venezuela, on the day of Corpus Christi. They’re recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage! The Diablos wear these grotesque masks and all sorts of amulets and accessories, and I’m slightly obsessed with all that.

I did an illustrated diagram of a passion fruit for the following reasons: 1. I LOVE PASSION FRUIT 2. @theydrawandcook has a cool food geometry challenge and FOOD + GEOMETRY are two of my favorite things in the world, and 3. I wanted to draw something fresh and fun that reminded me if my beautiful Caribbean. That’s it.

I created this piece to celebrate the International Women's Day on March 8th 2018.

“Peanut in the city” is the book I’ve written and illustrated as my M.A. Final Project at the Savannah College of Art and Design. It tells the story of Peanut, a dog that gets lost in the city, and his owners James and Lola, who go through an exciting journey to find him.

"Say yes and you'll figure it out afterwards" has to be one of my favorite quotes by Tina Fey (right under "B*tches get stuff done" of course.) Saying yes is POWERFUL!

I made an animated gif of my homie Ruthie cause why not.

Also, the (book-themed!!!) show will be on Saturday, June 15 at 6pm, at OxWork Business Club in Glenwood, if you’d like to join me and all the other crazy creative people that’ll be there.

This poster is based on the song “Spaceman” by The Killers (one of the best songs ever created, if you ask me), and it’s part of AIGA Atlanta Poster Show + Mixtape fundraising event. It will be exhibited among some other amazing pieces at the Mammal Gallery on April 30th.

Who wouldn’t want to take a journey to the human brain?

Last month I designed/illustrated this poster of the ultimate badass and my personal role model: RBG. Last week I screen printed it, and this is the result. The inks I used are neon, so it’s been a nightmare trying to take a decent picture of it. Just imagine it’s so neon it may burn your eyes if you stare at it for too long. RBG on RGB is hard to accomplish. I also made an animated gif cause why not. ✊🏼 #iwannaberbgwhenigrowup

This is a map of the best (and cutest) tea shops in London, and I've created it for They Draw and Travel's amazing website. You are required to sip your tea with a pinkie up if you visit any of these places, but not really.

Here's the design I made for a Fender Telecaster guitar. The quote comes from a song by The Killers, called "Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll", and I decided to add a Día de los Muertos vibe to it. 

This is a book cover I’ve had the pleasure to illustrate for an awesome book written by Farhana Zia, and published by Peachtree Publishers. I've also illustrated the spot illustrations on the inside. The book is available on Amazon, so go buy it!

This was a super-fun women-empowering lettering project (my favorite kind) I contributed with. The project's a visual expression of our own story/struggle/growth as women. It shows a collective voice that says "I've been through some sh*t, but I'm still here."

Since I couldn't tattoo this on my forehead, I decided to screen-print it on a shirt. This quote comes from the marvelous mind of Leslie Knope and I loh-oh-oh-ve it. 

Inner beauty is underrated, so that’s why I decided to come up with this illustrated packaging design for Good Soap. It’s part of a series of 3 packages, with inspirational quotes about inner beauty. 

If there’s something this lady loves is cooking and drawing, so I decided to illustrate some of my favorite Venezuelan recipes for an amazing website called www.theydrawandcook.com , you can see my recipes over there too. Why Venezuelan food? Cause it’s the greatest thing ever created, believe me.

I've had this song stuck in my head for the past 2 weeks so I needed to do something about it. Hopefully, it'll be stuck in yours too :) you're welcome. 

Apparently “eat your vegetables” is too mainstream, so this little kid prefers killing them.  He’s pretty awesome; just look how he managed to bite that coconut! I had way too much fun creating this character.

Always judge a book by its cover, that’s my motto. Awesome books need to have awesome covers. These two were created for compilations of Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories and poems, one of my favorite writers of all times.

Food puns on badges, screen-printed on tote bags, cause why not? 

GIRL POWER! These ladies currently rule the indie genre: Florence Welch, Lana del Rey, and Lorde. Also, they happen to have the most amazing hair in the music industry. These portraits may cause serious hair-and-fancy-clothes envy, you’ve been warned. 

This is a map created for a lovely place called Paradise Garden in Summerville, GA. I also designed these fridge magnets to teleport to Howard Finster’s place whenever I want to.

Paradise Garden and Jim Thompson joined forces with SCAD to create a design that will be printed on silk scarves and sold. This is the winning design, created by me. Whoop Whoop! 

The Organic Kitchen Garden kit includes 5 different seed packets (basil, sweet mint, cilantro, parsley, and oregano), as well as a fully illustrated booklet with instructions on how to plant them. Let the gardening begin.

This guided sketchbook contains 50 pages with fun ideas of things to draw (note: some of them can be pretty crazy). It's been written and illustrated by me. 

This is a tiny book of adventures in the big apple. It shows how much fun my friend Jessica and I can have in just one week in New York. It's been written and illustrated by me.
